Mobility scholarship for a Long-Term Research Stay Abroad

Doctoral students may apply for a mobility scholarship for a long-term research stay abroad. The scholarship is awarded in the form of a purpose-specific stipend and is intended for stays lasting at least 89 days, i.e. approximately three months or longer. The amount of the stipend is CZK 12,000 per month.

The aim of this support is to facilitate the planning of longer stays abroad, enabling doctoral students to become more deeply involved in the research team at the host institution, acquire new methods and technologies, develop international collaboration and, where applicable, collect data for their doctoral thesis.

Existing funding opportunities provided by the individual faculties and the Department of International Relations, such as Erasmus+ and MOBI, remain available for such stays.

This mobility scholarship does not apply to shorter stays abroad.

 

Application Procedures by Faculty

 

Faculty of Chemical Technology – FCT

Students submit a general application in writing or by email to the Faculty Secretary. The application must contain all the information and supporting documents required under the relevant Dean’s Decree.

Faculty of Environmental Technology – FET

Students submit their application using the faculty application form. The supervisor provides a statement concerning the proposed stay, and the student submits confirmation issued by the host institution abroad. The application is subsequently assessed by the Dean in accordance with the UCT Prague Scholarship Rules and the relevant faculty decree.

Faculty of Food and Biochemical Technology – FFBT

Students submit their application using the faculty application form.

Faculty of Chemical Engineering – FCE

The faculty does not provide a dedicated application form. The information and supporting documents that must be included in the application are specified in the relevant Dean’s Decree. The application may be submitted either electronically or in writing.
