Are you looking for a summer school?

 Unfortunately, there is no universal list of summer schools, but we recommend following the news on our website (home page), then the websites of your dream universities, or searching on portals such as Summer Schools in Europe.

 

• To obtain financial assistance for your trip, you can apply for a grant from the MOBI program once per study cycle.  

Scholarship

The scholarship is a fixed amount and serves as a contribution to travel expenses. The amount of the scholarship may be adjusted depending on the financial capabilities of the University of Chemistry and Technology and depending on the financial demands of the event. This may be done in both directions, either by increasing or decreasing the amount. 

 

• Doctoral students who are employed at the UCT Prague must submit a proposal for a foreign business trip, and this scholarship will be included in their billing. Others do not bill for the scholarship.

Application

 Applications are submitted online only. To apply you need to have this documents (can be downloaded at the bottom of this page) :

• Application Form
• Language Certificate - does not apply for those, who study in English at UCT Prague
• Learning Agreement Before Mobility for Studies (LABM) - does not apply for doctoral students

Bachelor and Master students must fulfill their study requirements by participating in the summer school, i.e., earn at least 2 ECTS credits.  To agree on the recognition of the course, you must complete and submit the following with your application:

The course you will complete by participating in the summer school must be included in your study plan. The dean's offices will help you with this, and the vice-deans for international relations and pedagogy will approve it. In Table A, enter the name of the summer school, and in Table B, enter the name of the recognized course here at UCT.

Application deadlines are four times a year.  Check the exact dates on the Home page.  

Selection interview

 After the application deadline, you will be invited to an online selection interview and given the opportunity to present your trip plan, motivation, and compatibility with your study plan in more detail. You will receive a score based on the selection criteria (which you can review below). 

 

The results are sent via email.  

Participant Agreement

 If your application was approved, you need to finalize all the necessary documents and a Participant Agreement (financial agreement) will be prepared for you. 

 

Upload all documents and answer the questions in this form. Do not fill in your EUR account details; your scholarship will be paid in CZK to the account you have listed in SIS.

• Once you have submitted the form, write to outgoing@vscht.cz and make an appointment to sign the participation agreement. You must still have at least 10 working days left before your departure!

Before departure

Be sure, you have arranged your travel insurance!

We recommend that all students traveling abroad register on the Ministry of Foreign Affairs website in the DROZD database.

• In the event of an emergency, the embassy will assist in organizing help for those who voluntarily provide information about their planned stay abroad.

After retuning home

 No later than 14 days after your return, bring the following documents to the International Office or send them to outgoing@vscht.c z:

 

• Confirmation of Stay (CoS) - If possible, do not leave without a CoS confirmation (it can also be the organizer's own form) signed by the local Erasmus coordinator or summer school organizer. You must submit the original version of this document to the International Office. 

• Confirmation of Completion - there is no template for this document; it will be issued by the organizer upon successful completion of the course. It may take the form of a transcript.

• MOBI Final report - you must complete the report and send it to outgoing@vscht.cz.

If you are unable to obtain a signature on a paper CoS, ask your coordinator to send you the CoS by email and a copy directly to outgoing@vscht.cz . Only then can the confirmation sent by email be considered an original.
